Architecture
Enjoy our stylish Glasgow hotel
As a one-time Episcopal Church, the Glasgow Mal has much to offer lovers of architecture – or even those who simply love staying somewhere gorgeous! It really is a sight to behold.
The building contains many original features, with a huge vaulted ceiling, and a magnificent iron sculpted staircase which leads to the first floor. Look carefully and you’ll see that it depicts a scene of one weary traveller and his entourage journeying perhaps up to heaven, or possibly up to his room.
Going down takes you to what was the crypt and is now the bar and brasserie. And here’s a promise: you won’t find more fantastic surroundings than these in which to eat and drink in Glasgow.
